Yarns Sold and Told
Thousands of people knitted for loved ones and their nation during World War I. Listen to Stacie Peterson from the National World War I Museum and Memorial talk about knitting to support the troops during World War I. Yak’n Yarn will donate yarn to the first 40 knitters or crocheters to make into squares. These will be assembled into lap robes and given to veterans.
Experience the World War I story of one Kansan through the exhibit Captured: The Extraordinary Adventures of Colonel Hughes. The Kansas Museum of History will be open until 6:30 p.m., admission is half price after 5 p.m.
Welcome to Yak 'n Yarn, the yarn store designed to meet your knitting, crocheting, weaving and needlework needs. Come see our large selection of beautiful yarns and supplies.
