Stitch & Sandwich – 11:00 to 2:00 – meets the 3rd Sat. of every month.  Bring your sandwich and the shop provides chips and drink.  Bring your project to work on and enjoy the social time

June 12 & 26 – Tatting & Bobbin Lace – 9:30-11:30 (this is not a class)                                                                   June 14 - Wire& Bead Bracelet 1:00 -3:30 Fee $ 22(all supplies provided)

June 14 -OPEN STITCH – 6:00 to 8:00 – No Charge

June 16 – Crochet Monthly Class Slippers– 1:00-3:00 – Fee: $15

June 19 – Topeka Needlework Guild – 9:30-11:30 – Stitch In

June 21, 23 – Beginning Knitting- 1:00-3:00 Fee: $20

June 28 – Felting Class – 12:30-2:30 – Fee: $15

June 28 – OPEN STITCH – 6:00-8:00 – No Charge (bring your project)

If you know a lady who is in need of a knocker or two please have her stop by the shop.  We have all sizes from A to DD and they are free.  We had a great turn out for the knocker stuffing party ---thank you!!!

***On June 10 the shop will provide free yarn to the first 10 who come to knit or crochet in public.  We will ask for you to make a hat to be given to the VA Medical Center with the yarn you receive.  We hope to have the hats completed by Saturday, July 1.

*** If you know a lady in need of a knocker please have them stop by the shop and pick one up ---they are free!  The shop will be giving free approved yarn to the first 10 ladies who will knit or crochet 2 knockers (each skein will make two).  The knockers must be completely crocheted or knitted before May 20 and dropped off at the shop (on the 20th we will stuff them).

Private Classes are available, a one-on-one time with the instructor.  You determine the day and time.  Call the shop 272-9276 to set up a time.  Bring your own pattern or learn a special stitch, whatever you want to learn.  The Fee is determined by the length of the session.

Bad Weather policy for the shop.  If school district #501 is closed due to ice or snow the shop will also be closed.

BEGINNING CROCHET is scheduled to meet your availability.  Call the shop at 785-272-9276 to set up class time.  2 hr. class session is $20.  This is a private class with you and instructor or if you are stuck and need help with a crochet pattern you are working on call and we will set up a time.  Fee: $15 for 1 hour of instruction.

We offer private classes so give us a call here at the shop – 272-9276 and we will be happy to work with you and only you!!!  We schedule the lessons to meet your availability.  Please ask for details.
We have new classes we are developing for the winter. If you have a particular class you would like to take please let us know.  We will do the research and offer a class.


Classes are being developed weekly so stop by the shop and pick up a flier or provide the shop your e-mail address and we will keep you up on the latest classes and events being offered. If there is a class you would like to take but don't see it on the schedule, let me know and I'll try to offer it. Thank you for supporting this shop! Classes

Classes in knitting, crochet, weaving, felting, tatting, jewelry making and embroidery are being scheduled. Most classes will vary from 1 - 5 or more sessions once a week. Class fees may be paid in person or by phone. Supplies for all classes must be purchased at Yak 'n Yarn.

OPEN STITCH


Open stitch sessions are always free and always fun. These sessions are scheduled regularly to allow individuals to come together to share their love of fiber arts. Participants are invited to bring the project of their choosing and meet other fiber artists for two hours of creative fun.
